“God Bless America, land that I love, stand beside her and guide her, in the night, with the light from above.”
Oh, how we love to sing, we love to talk even more. My friend’s now is the time to stand! You were born into such a time as this!
The men and women that have gone on before us stood and they fought, giving their lives for the freedom we have today in this country. As Christians we have complete freedom as given to us through the blood shed & body broken of our Lord Jesus. It’s been a gift to us in both realms, but you know every gift was bought by someone. Every gift has a price tag that must be paid.
As citizens of the USA and as citizens of the Kingdom of God, we have a responsibility as well as a privilege. What we do today determines the future, the future that our children & grandchildren will be leaders in. James 1: 23 & 25 says to be a doer of the Word. So, let God do the talking and us be the doer of His Way, as we consider one another, instead of criticizing; as we do random acts of kindness instead of getting even; as we think positive thoughts of each other instead of judgments & labels. And as we love and not hate, we will create a world where peace & joy are experienced. Creating a world for our children & grandchildren to grow up in, thus becoming better leaders and followers in the future.
So, don’t be a couch potato, get with the program of Life! The song continues “from the mountains to the prairie, to the oceans white with foam”. We Christians need to carry the Gospel of Jesus the Christ wherever we go, allowing the “Light from above” to shine into our hearts and through our lives to bless others. We are the Salt of the earth, so come out of the closet, Christian, and live Life to the fullest! We have Abundant Life in Him which includes freedom to be who we were created to be. He has given us all things that pertain to Life and Godliness (2 Peter 1: 3&4).
As “old glory” waves in the wind igniting patriotism in America, let the waves of the Glory of God bring revival to your soul & to your thinking. Let His Glory ignite your spirit to the “beyond what we could ask or think” (Ephesians 3: 17-21) and let “God Bless America”!
