Believing/Unbelief – Signs of the Times!
We hear from many sources that these are perilous times that we are living in. According to the Word of God these are the End Times. (Luke 21: 7-36 & Matt.24). The natural disasters, the wars, and the killings are surely signs of the times. However, the most prevalent of all signs is unbelief. Not believing that God is who He says He is (Isaiah 55:11), that Jesus is our Redeemer (Luke4: 18,19 & John 14: 6), and that Holy Spirit is all Jesus said He’d be(John14: 16-18, 15:26, 16:7-15). These scriptures mentioned are just a few of many that can be found throughout the Bible.
We as Christians are often called “believers”, yet many who call themselves Christians don’t. Jesus said in Luke 21 to watch your heart and pray always. Paul, Peter and our leaders down through the ages have all admonished us to do the same and yet we haven’t. Faith is what moves God. It’s when we pray believing His Promises are sure (that He’s a Holy God that cannot lie and is absolutely who He says He is) that we see the performance of those things. Believing and faith are like how our muscles move our body. As we exercise our muscles our bodies have stamina to withstand the tasks of the day, even fun things. Some things are harder than others, but if we keep working the muscles we are able to accomplish the task without being totally overwhelmed. It’s the same with believing and Faith.
The Bible says Faith comes by hearing the Word. You have to know about something before you can say, “I believe that”. Amen?. Once you hear the word it’s up to you to act on it. That’s where the Faith comes in. God gives us His Faith. The same Faith that created the worlds (Hebrews11: 1-3). When we believe God and we exercise this muscle by Faith and it performs that which God has already spoken. Everything we need has already been provided for us (2Peter 1: 2-4). Knowing and believing God’s Word is how we guard our hearts. When we know who God is and who we are in Him we don’t believe every story we hear. This is why we preach and teach the Word of God under the Anointing of His Holy Spirit, so His sheep will know His voice and another they will not follow.
Following Jesus means a life here with victory in it because that’s what Jesus redeemed for us. Jesus told the woman at the well, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in Truth”. Spirit refers to the Holy Spirit and Truth Is the Word.
So, stay plugged in to Jesus! If you can’t come to Jesus Is The Answer Church go to a church that preaches and teaches the Word in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. In these latter days He is pouring out His Spirit and revelation of His word is bringing more knowledge and understanding expanding what we know into greater heights and deeper depths.
